Avalon Landscapes is a 'hard landscaping' specialist based in Poole, Dorset. Working with stone, brick, blocks, timber and many other natural or man-made materials, we construct the fabric of beautiful and functional outdoor areas.

Stuart King (owner of Avalon Landscapes), is a highly qualified landscape gardener with over 20 years experience in constructing walls, fences, steps, pergolas, paths and many other architectural garden features.

Along with his 'hard landscaping' craftsmanship, Stuart also has a general knowledge of plants and shrubs to help with completing the overall garden design.

It never ceases to amaze our clients just how much added pleasure can be gained from some good design, construction and planting.

Why do we call a garden an 'outdoor living space'?

Perhaps you have a typical old-fashioned front garden and driveway, which was built to suit a much different era and is now very tired and drab. Then each you enter or leave your home, this will impact on how you feel.

We have undertaken many such projects and have constructed front gardens that not only improve function but also by making the aesthetic pleasing too, gives our clients spirit a lift each and every day.

It is this emotional lift that transforms any outdoor area from simply being a 'front or back garden', to being a great 'outdoor living space'.

All too often the rear garden is a dreary and underutilised area. It cannot be over emphasised just how much pleasure can be obtained from having an outdoor space which is both beautiful and very functional. An area which is inviting to you, your family and your friends, and one which becomes the epicentre for relaxing, healthy and social outdoor living... in essence, a space which is good for your soul.

So what do Avalon Landscapes do?

Primarily we do the 'hard landscaping' tasks i.e. the construction of walls, paths, steps, planting areas, fences, driveways, etc.

Whilst we don’t often do the planting or maintenance, we fully understand that this is large part of the landscaping process and can supply high quality plants and shrubs and also have the tools and knowledge to help keep gardens maintained, although many clients wish to do this themselves. Therefore, we are more than happy to just do the ‘hard work’, which requires our specialist skills.

We take pride in being very good at what we do; in being very reliable; working in a considerate and tidy manner; and being reasonably priced.

Note: due to the high standards of our workmanship and the manner in which we do it, almost all of our work now comes from recommendation.

I offer free quotations and should you wish to proceed, I will turn up on the day we agree (obviously this can be weather dependent); do the work agreed in an efficient and professional manner; be as tidy as possible during the work; and fully clean up after I am finished.
